College Admission Testing
Springfield Catholic High School administers the PSAT 8/9 in the fall for the 9th grade students. The PSAT 8/9 establishes a baseline measurement of a student's college and career readiness as he/she enters high school.
The PSAT/NMSQT is given in the fall for the 10th-11th grade students. This test is great practice for the SAT because it tests the same skills and knowledge as the SAT — in a way that makes sense for your grade level. This test also makes juniors elligible for National Merit Scholarship Program.
In the spring SCHS will administer the Pre-ACT for the 9th-10th grade students. The Pre-ACT gives valuable practice, including questions and scores similar to those on the ACT test.
